Your BMW or Aston Martin will garner you attention from locals and visitors alike when you pull up to the stretch of sand at the 87-acre Fort Zachary Taylor State Park or the small, but picturesque Higgs Beach. No visit to Key West would be complete without a visit to one of the island beaches. You can also cruise around the island’s Old Town historic district, home to many of Key’s West most popular attractions, and view the early 20th century mansions built in that unique island style that combines elements of Victorian, Old Southern and Caribbean architecture. You can tour the Hemingway House, where “Papa” wrote “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” or visit the Little White House, where President Harry Truman spent 175 days on 11 visits during his presidency. Of course, even though the island is only four miles long and two miles wide, there’s plenty of sightseeing in Key West. Once you arrive in Key West, your exotic car rental will be sure to turn heads, whether you’re joining in the nightly celebration to watch the sunset at Mallory Square, enjoying the evening’s action on Duval Street or grabbing a beer and a burger at Ernest Hemingway’s old haunt, Sloppy Joe’s. What better way to start a vacation than by drinking in the sun and sea air behind the wheel of a Porsche, Maserati or Ferrari? Such exotic cars were just made for a trip like this. Along the way, you can stop at peaceful Key Largo for a leisurely lunch (won’t the valet be impressed by your ride), go sports fishing for a couple of hours off the coast of Islamorada or spend the night at one of the exclusive small island resorts like Little Palm Island Resort or the Cheeca Lodge.
